The Artist
Location: Houston, Texas
Mediums: Classical oil paint on prepared Belgian linen canvas, mounted on panel. The mixing medium is walnut oil.
Inspiration: Tim’s paintings are mainly studies of dusk, dawn, moonlight, vaporous weather conditions and phenomena related to land and sea. Of particular interest are strong contrasts and subdued color. Tim’s painting style is influenced by the American Tonalist, The Hague, Netherlands, and Barbizon, France painters of 19th and 20th centuries. Tim has a lifelong affinity for the sea, particularly coastal Texas and the nearby countryside.
