Our Guide to Maximizing Your Time

How To Do Round Top in a Day

Our team packed up and headed to The Round Top Antiques Fair in search of some fabulous finds for our clients. With our busy schedules, we could only be out of office for the day, so we knew we needed to maximize our time. Read on for a quick list of our favorite stops and how to ensure you see the best of what Round Top has to offer!

9 – 11:30 a.m. Marburger Farm

Marburger Farm is a designer’s playground with rows and rows of white tents filled with ever-changing treasures, ranging from furniture, accessories, art, rugs, and jewelry.  It’s always at the top of our list because we’re guaranteed to find those special, one-of-a-kind pieces for our clients. Shop til’ you drop and then drive by and pick up your purchased pieces later in the day.

Expert Tip: Arrive early, because the parking fills up fast!

Our favorite vendors from this year were:

Tim Schneider Fine Art – Stop here for framed oil canvas paintings. They are moody, subtle, and come in all sizes.

AK & CO. Antique MarketWe found so many treasures here! From the most gorgeous botanical art to antique mirrors, you have to stop by.

Primrose Antiques – If you’re looking to fill your kitchen with some gorgeous copper pots, you have to swing by this booth.

Azra Oriental Rugs, Inc – It’s no secret we love Oushak rugs and they had the best selection of the day with endless shapes, sizes, and colorways!

Nufangle Fine Antiques & Whimsy – We were in love with their beautiful antique frames and Italian pottery.

Provence Antiques – Consider this your cutting board hub!

Sonya Shine Edwards – If you’re on the hunt for some soft, lovely abstract paintings, make sure you see Sonya Shine Edwards!

11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. The Compound

Right down the street from Marburger is The Compound. Full of air conditioned barns housing established vendors, this was a great place to wrap up our morning shopping.

MC Antiques – We love vintage embroidered handkerchiefs and MC Antiques had hundreds to choose from. Whether you frame them, tie them on your bag, or give them as a keepsake, they are always fun to have on hand!

Black Sheep Antiques – We adore their large selection of timeless wooden furniture.

Big Blue Wreck Salvage – Coin necklaces are having a big moment right now and I’m a huge fan. I loved looking at the extensive collection from Big Blue Wreck Salvage.

Tomlinson Antiques & Fine Art – We found the most gorgeous antique mirror for a client!

Eneby Home – Stop here if you’re looking for mid-century antiques and Swedish chairs.

1 – 2:30 p.m. Lunch Break at Manditos

We headed towards town in search of some much needed sustenance. Manditos is the perfect lunch spot to refuel and relax, so you are ready to hit the ground running for some afternoon shopping.

Round Top Guide

Their margaritas are delicious and the perfect treat. We also recommend the burrito bowls, fish tacos, and enchiladas!

2:30 – 4 p.m. Treasure Hunting Time!

After lunch and a couple of margs, we were ready to start digging. While Marburger and The Compound are sure bets for finding gorgeous antiques, we love to roll up our sleeves and search for hidden treasures. We hit up various tents along the road for some great deals, and here were some of our favorite finds!

Blue Hills – French by Design at Blue Hills had a vast selection of Intaglios just waiting to be framed!

The Arbors – If you’re a fan of antique rug pillows, you have to stop at Orientalist Home.
