From Summer to Fall with Christofle

The Transitional Table

Temps are slowly dropping and that means entertaining season will soon be in full swing! What better time to transition your tablescape from summer to fall?

We had the exciting opportunity to partner with Christofle and Houston Magazine for an End of Summer Soirée. Hosted in Christofle’s pristine boutique, the event debuted a stunning table curated by Marie, featuring Christofle tableware and flatware, drop-dead-gorgeous florals by Maxit Flower Design, linens by House of Hough, chairs from Swift & Co., and place cards by HH Design House.

Transitioning your table from summer to fall is all about that mix!

Ready to transition your own table for fall entertaining? Here’s the good news: you don’t have to start from scratch. Keep reading for our tips on how to incorporate autumnal vibes using items you already have at home!

Your dining table is the perfect place to play with metal finishes! Mix gold-rimmed plates with silver utensils and metallized glass urns for an eclectic vibe that feels warm and welcoming.

Dressing up your table doesn’t have to feel stuffy. Crystal is a powerful way to incorporate subtle moments of color – we particularly love this amber hue!

Velvet is a lovely, texture-rich fabric that can easily transition between seasons. To carry your summer linens into fall, consider pairing vibrant colors with a deeper-toned velvet.

So, this may not be something you have lying around the house, but we couldn’t possibly talk tablescape and not mention flowers. And when it comes to flowers, we never, ever skimp! Draw color inspiration from your table and pick up every flower you can find to complement. Not centerpiece savvy? Call in an expert like our friends at Maxit Flower Design for stress-free table prep! Maria Maxit suggested pairing one larger centerpiece with two slightly smaller to give the illusion of a rambling, garden-inspired arrangement.
