Houston is hosting the Super Bowl this year which has us feeling the football SPIRIT [yes we do, how ’bout you!?]. Instead of sharing patriotic spaces or ones that celebrate falcon décor [is that even a thing?], we’ve opted to focus on color, because that’s obviously a topic we can’t get enough of. From deep blue to dramatic black and feisty red, this year’s team colors are all about the bold and beautiful. Today we’re here to help our fellow football fans and design gurus out with Team MFI’s selection of Super Bowl-inspired paint colors that are guaranteed to rock your home!
There are so many blues to choose from which can be overwhelming. We love Sherwin Williams Honorable Blue, Ralph Lauren Arcadia, and Farrow & Ball Drawing room for their bright, patriotic hue and opt for Benjamin Moore Stunning, Evening Sky, or Farrow & Ball Hague for a more muted statement.
If you’re like us and don’t have a dog in this fight, red is the way to go. Red is lively, charming, and inviting and we love using it in spaces that need an extra dose of energy.
Expert Note: The more orange you have in your red, the brighter the statement, whereas paints that blend in purple tend to be more soothing.
Black can definitely pack a punch but can also stand in as a neutral depending on the shade and location. Remember that the more grey you have in your paint, the softer that punch will be.
Now, LET’S GET READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL! 😉
