Our team is thrilled to announce that we received an HGTV Faces of Design People’s Choice award and we know we have YOU to thank for it!
Our winning project holds a very special place in our hearts because it was designed for a charming young couple who had just welcomed their first baby into the world. Together, we created a dreamy master bedroom where they could cuddle, relax, and unwind after a long, busy day, and we thought you may enjoy a behind-the-scenes look at what inspired the design!
To start, the space featured green carpeting that was original to the home and undersized furniture pieces that seemed to float within the super spacious room. We helped them create a sophisticated, multi-function master suite by defining multiple areas within the room; one where they could enjoy a glass of wine while watching TV and the other where they could retire for the evening.
A light, bright color palette was developed to infuse that sense of serenity one might experience vacationing on a private island, and, as with most neutral color schemes, we made the grandest statement through the use of layers and layers of texture.
We hope you’ve enjoyed seeing more of this bedroom oasis and we’d love to hear your thoughts: When you have a large master suite, do you opt for a light and bright color palette or one that’s dark and moody?
