Let’s [Garden] Party
“There is something infinitely healing in the repeated refrains of nature…”
– Rachel Carson, Silent Spring
Garden parties are the perfect way to honor all things spring – clear blue skies, verdant greenery, leisurely moments shared with friends that ignite and inspire. You may have seen that we’re teaming up with a few of Houston’s finest [including Mostess Box, House of Harper, Meg Grant & Co., Smart in the Kitchen, and Maxit Flower Design] to host a gathering in the garden and we couldn’t be more excited! We thought you might enjoy a look at some of the planning that’s taking place behind the scenes, along with a few tips for creating the perfect garden party setting. Enjoy!
Low and Loose
When it comes to garden-inspired florals, free form is where it’s at. Opt for arrangements that roam low to the table, encouraging connection and conversation between your guests. Although that may sound easy, creating an arrangement that feels loose but expertly curated is more difficult to achieve than you might think! So, we’re calling in the experts – Maxit Flower Design will be serving up the flower power next week and here’s a lovely little sneak peek:
Soft and Subtle
From your linens to your color story, pulling together a setting that feels soft and fresh will allow the beauty of your natural surroundings to sparkle and shine! We got a sneak peek of the goodies Mostess has planned for the table and can’t wait to see everything come together in person.
Mixed and Mingled
If there were ever a time to walk away from a matchy-matchy vibe, this is it! Whether it’s combining different types of flowers, uniting soft, complementary color palettes, or playing with patterns, don’t be afraid to mix things up. Embracing an organic, free flow ambiance will only add to the warmth and beauty of your garden gathering.
We’re officially counting down the days until our big garden bash and can’t wait to share it all with you!
