MFI Needs Your Help – Dec My Room Toy and Clothing Drive
Partnering with Dec My Room during the holidays to deliver beauty and joy to young patients undergoing medical treatment has become an MFI tradition, and it’s one that is as much a gift to our team as it is to the children we serve. In years past, we’ve decorated patient rooms and refreshed a hospital playroom but, this year, things are going to look a teensy bit different…
We had the opportunity to tour Healthbridge Children’s Hospital, a care center dedicated to providing a safe, nurturing environment for children recovering from traumatic brain injury, acute illness, or chronic disease. As the name suggests, Healthbridge is a haven that serves as a bridge between acute medical care and everyone’s ultimate goal – returning home.
Following the tour, we realized that, although a freshly updated waiting area would be wonderful, what the patients and staff need most this holiday season is our support. Many of the children being treated at HealthBridge remain on campus for weeks at a time and there seems to be a constant need for warm blankets, new clothing, and engaging activities. That’s where we all come in…
MFI is hosting a toy and clothing drive for Healthbridge Children’s Hospital from Monday, November 27 – Thursday, December 14 and our team will be delivering all of the goodies to the Healthbridge families on Friday, December 15!
