Season 5 of Brother Vs. Brother has officially come to a close and, while we’re sad to see it end, we’re thrilled about all of the friendships we’ve made along the way! Beth Lindsey, lead designer for #TeamDrew, hosted a magnificent watch party at Jackson Street BBQ, where we all gathered to chow down and celebrate another successful BvB season!
Scroll on for an insider’s look at the spaces from the show’s final two episodes:
It was super fitting that the season came to a close with challenges for best outdoor entertaining space and guest suites as those spaces receive a whole lotta’ love in coastal escapes, and we loved how everything came together!
Deck and Patio
Durable outdoor dining is essential to coastal living so we worked with Jonathan to select contemporary chairs in a resin finish that can weather any storm while looking uber-stylish in the process.
Inspired by our surroundings, we opted for beachy colors and textures on the table. We love how the crisp white plates and white rattan chargers pop against the navy blue placemats and lime green Le Creuset cocottes! Layer in shatterproof acrylic glassware and we’re feeling ready to ding that dinner bell!
Situated directly outside sliding glass doors that lead to the kitchen, the setup is a true celebration of indoor/outdoor living.
A lounge area stands just a few steps away from the dining space and features a fully-functioning outdoor kitchen because nothing beats having your favorite food, drinks, and people all in one place! We anchored the space with an outdoor area rug and pulled in multiple side tables where guests can rest their food and bevs with ease.
Although Galveston temps remain high throughout the majority of the year, it’s a town that definitely experiences a few cold snaps, so we decided a fire pit would be the perfect addition to this grouping, making it a space that can be enjoyed all year round. The best part? It’s lightweight so it can easily be removed when not in use!
Moving down to the first floor patio, #TeamJonathan decked out a cozy little nook with swinging chairs that provide the spot for reading, relaxing, and swaying to the breeze!
Texture-rich poufs, throws, and a durable outdoor rug ensure the space is supremely comfortable!
Bunk beds are crucial if you’ve got lots of visiting friends and family, and these metal pieces are particularly special because they were crafted by our friends at Accents in Iron!
Round mirrors mimic a ship’s porthole and the team decided to paint the beds a rich navy hue to help tie in colors found throughout the rest of the home.
Short on space? Use one night stand instead of two; it offers you a place to store books and trinkets without making your room feel cramped! Built-in drawers provide ample storage and individual sconces allow each occupant to keep reading when the rest of the crew is lights out!
Tile walls in a reclaimed wood finish provide all the durability you could possibly need from a vacation home. Can you believe that’s not real wood!? We also slid baskets under the vanity so guests can stow their toiletry bags freeing up that oh-so-precious counter space!
Graphic wallpaper plays peek-a-boo through built-in shelves that provide plenty of storage for toiletries, towels, and accessories.
A soothing color palette sets the tone in the second guest bedroom, creating a cheerful, cozy ambiance that’s perfect for this coastal getaway.
