“Flowers always make people better, happier, and more helpful; they are sunshine, food and medicine to the mind.”
We don’t talk about it often, but fresh flowers and greenery are an important part of the beauty we create every single day. Whether it’s a bouquet breathing life into the busy MFI office or armfuls of budding beauties placed lovingly throughout our latest install, we rely on arrangements to lend a fresh, inviting vibe to any space.
In addition to serving as an elegant accessory in any room, studies have shown that flowers improve mood and concentration, and some even propose that they speed healing; now that’s décor we can all stand behind!
Over time, we’ve discovered that quite a few of our clients and friends get nervous when it comes to creating floral arrangements for their homes, so we teamed up with The Pink House [Lanson B. Jones] for a little floral playtime that we hope will shed some light on the relationship between florals and interior design.
Similar to our designs, we love arrangements that celebrate layers of color and texture as well as the union of raw materials with those that are softer and more refined. You can see why this loose, organic arrangement was an instant hit with our team [and our client]!
Fresh herbs and greenery offer up the same benefits as floral arrangements without having to break the bank! Here, a sunny table is topped with basil and French lavender, creating an aromatic tablescape and lending the ideal ambiance for a bubbly brunch with your closest friends!
All too often, we neglect incorporating florals in spaces that rarely see guests, but a little arrangement crafted just for you is a pleasant treat for the senses after a long, busy day. Relaxing in your bed or bath next to a simple little bouquet is enough to lift the spirit and take your day from grueling to downright grand.
All hail the power of flowers!
